Most of our orders are shipped within 2 business days of purchase from our sunny Los Angeles warehouse, pending availability. Rest assured we work our hardest to get you your order from our door to yours as quickly as possible. How much is international shipping?

When to Use

Use in the evening on clean, dry skin. Start 2–3 times per week and gradually increase to nightly use as tolerated. Always wear SPF during the day.

How to Apply

Apply 2–3 drops to clean, dry skin, avoiding the eye area. Follow with our Dream Cream Nighttime Moisturizer to support overnight recovery.

Pro Tip

If you’re new to retinol, build tolerance slowly and avoid layering with other active exfoliants (like Youthdrops) on the same night—alternate instead. Because retinoids can increase sun sensitivity, apply SPF daily. Not recommended for use while pregnant or breastfeeding.

I'm impressed with this serum! I love onekind as a brand, in general but last night I used the Midnight Magic PM Serum, followed up by the night cream and I felt like I could see a clear difference this morning. I'm super excited to the long term affects of this magical serum!

Great serum so far!

I really love the way this serum feels on my skin - it's not harsh but seems to deliver good results. Great ingredients, love the retinol (perfect for first signs of aging + my blemish-prone skin) and it absorbs very fast. So far so good!

Great nighttime serum

I really like this serum. It is very light and absorbs easily. It has a very nice scent. I feel like it plumps my skin and has left my fine lines less noticeable. Paired with the Dream Cream, my skin looks great in the morning. Highly recommend!

Changed my skin!

I cannot say enough good things about this serum. It's amazing. I pair it with the night time moisturizer and it’s honestly the best combo.

Subtle but works

So, I originally bought this back in 2023 because I wanted to try a retinol, but my skin is VERY sensitive. I used it for a while and then stopped, really for no reason. Well, fast forward 2 years and I started using it again. I absolutely notice an improvement in my skin now. It is subtle, but just looks and feels better overall when I use it. I do not use the dream cream, though I don’t have anything negative to say about it. I do use golden state face oil and a face cream with vitamins, aloe and hyaluronic acid. So, it’s now part of a long-standing skincare routine. It’s never made my skin react or caused any irritation/over-drying.

This is one of my favorite Onekind products. It reduces my pores and makes my skin look great. I always pair it with the night cream . Works really well.
I apply it only at night and use a vitamin C serum during the day and always use sunscreen.

Gentle but effective

Is this gentle enough for retinol beginners?

Yes — Midnight Magic is formulated for retinol beginners and sensitive skin. Birch bark extract acts as a built-in calming buffer, and the peptide complex helps support the skin barrier. Start with every other night for two weeks, then build to nightly use once your skin has adjusted.

Can I use retinol and peptides together?

Absolutely — it's one of the best combinations in anti-aging skincare. Retinol increases cell turnover and stimulates collagen; peptides rebuild and support the skin barrier that retinol can temporarily disrupt. Using them in the same formula amplifies results while reducing irritation.

Will Midnight Magic cause peeling or redness?

Retinol can cause temporary dryness or flaking when you first start, especially on sensitive skin. Midnight Magic minimizes this with birch bark extract and Vitamin E, but starting slowly — every other night — is still recommended. Any sensitivity typically resolves within 2–4 weeks.

Where does this go in my skincare routine?

Apply after cleansing (and toning if you use the Radical Repair® Balancing Tonic), before moisturizer. For very sensitive skin, try the sandwich method: moisturizer → Midnight Magic → moisturizer, to buffer the retinol.

Can I use Midnight Magic with Vitamin C?

Not in the same routine — retinol and active Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) can cancel each other out and increase irritation when layered at the same time. Use Vitamin C in the morning and Midnight Magic at night. The oil-soluble THD Vitamin C in Gold Rush Body Oil is the exception — it's stable and compatible.
